Parag is a seasoned attorney with a unique and powerful perspective shaped by an extensive background as a former criminal prosecutor. Parag has held key roles at some of California’s most prominent governmental agencies, including the California Attorney General’s Office and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office where he spent four years on the executive team. This breadth of experience has given him unparalleled insight into both the prosecution and defense sides of the criminal justice system.

Parag is a Los Angeles native who attended USC Law School and completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and Dartmouth. He is an avid fan of the Lakers and enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.

Criminal Defense

Parag has handled a wide range of criminal cases, from misdemeanors such as DUIs, theft, and gun possession, to more serious felonies including domestic violence, sex crimes (such as rape and child sexual assault), and homicides—including voluntary manslaughter, vehicular and DUI manslaughter, and murder. Parag is also highly experienced in criminal appeals, with a strong track record in both state and federal courts.

Additionally, Parag has specialized knowledge in complex white-collar crimes, including OSHA violations, environmental crimes, and healthcare fraud. This experience requires not only sharp legal skills but also a deep understanding of intricate regulatory frameworks.

With four years of experience on the executive team of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Parag has gained invaluable insight into prosecutorial strategies, allowing him to effectively navigate the system and secure fair treatment for his clients. His approach to criminal defense is characterized by strategic thinking, aggressive advocacy, and a steadfast commitment to protecting clients’ rights.
